You'd Be Home Now by Kathleen Glasgow

This book hit me. We see the addiction through the addict's close knit sister. It's got happy moments, and obviously ugly ones. The party that really felt relatable to me was when the addict described why he kept using. The emotional piece behind it, the faults he felt, it all reminded me so much of my young son. He is at high risk for that road due to his neurodiversity, and it hangs over my head all the time. I cried during that scene.
