Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever
by Bill O'Reilly, Martin Dugard
This book took me a while to read mainly because I was busy, but every time I picked it up, I had so much fun! It was really an intriguing way to tell a story that everyone has heard, and I learned a lot about the context surrounding the assassination in general.
I’m by no stretch of the imagination a history buff, but I was able to read this book without having any confusion. Everything was explained well, but concisely and straight to the point.
I really enjoyed the context provided concerning the plot to assassinate Lincoln and Lincoln’s activities in the months leading up to the assassination. It really brings more emotion into the entire situation and makes you really feel for the hurt that it must have caused America and his family. Great book!
