I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review:
Morsels by Abe Moss is a 305 page Cosmic Horror published by Grim Heart Publishing 6/11/2024.
Connie and her boyfriend Evan are bound for his parents’ anniversary to get together at the family’s summer home in the woods for the weekend. They had hoped the weekend would go by quickly and without much strife. Boy were they wrong! Something seems not quite right about the family and what is that noise coming from the basement.
This is the book for those who are fans of movies such as 2006’s The Hills Have Eyes, 2003’s Wrong Turn and 2018’s The Farm.
I felt it was well written. Abe has this style of writing that really lets you tap into the primal fears of his characters. This book was creepy and grimy and claustrophobic and left you wanting more.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars
