such an epic tale of life, love, and perseverance.

Talk about writing deeply flawed and incredibly likable characters. So many times I was just annoyed with Cora for not prioritizing Leni and then annoyed with Leni for not prioritizing herself but then at the end of the day it’s written so well, you get why they’re doing it and it’s just so sad and hard

ALSO I decided to listen to it on audio because the narrator has popped up on my tiktok feed and had good content related to character narration, and HOLY WOW! She was incredible. There were times I would spontaneously burst into tears because her performance was so raw and real.

SO glad Matthew pulled through 😭😭 their love story is one of my faves. Childhood friendship turned teenage yearning and desperation turned adult longing and finally steady solid sturdy love 😭😭
