If you're a Francophile, you'll probably appreciate this book more than I did. I had to read this for my book club and while it's an enjoyable enough escapist fantasy for the French-loving, if you're just kind of okay about French culture then it's just okay. There are a lot of intertwining plot lines that get a bit hard to follow. Most of my enjoyment came from the food appreciation. Overall, not bad but be prepared for a lot of French culture.
