The Attack Graphic Novel by Loic Dauvillier, Glen Chapron, Yasmina Khadra

challenging dark emotional sad tense medium-paced

4.0

This book was definitely a powerful portrayal of what drives people to take up armed resistance and how others may not be able to see it. I think something got lost in the translation to English or when it was made into a graphic novel because some parts didn’t quite make sense or felt like something was missing.
It was strange that the ending just killed off the main character. The classic writing advice is not to do that but maybe it’s a larger commentary on the conflict and the deaths it creates.
