The sheer fact that it is a brandon sanderson book, makes me want to give it 4 stars already but i have not read it much so I cannot be biased. So the plot is so gripping and so unique, unlike anything that I have read before. First things first, the whole concept of elantris and how it was once a great city, it it "fell" like 10 years ago. It is now slimes, and slugg, and it is broken and a whole mess. i enjoyed reading about the shayed( or i dont remember what it was called), and how random people could be gods and now random people are doomed to be an elantrian. The people living in elantris have it the worst, they get hungry, but they dont need foood to survive, they get hurt but do not recover like normal people. Prince raoden is also such an interesting character, and what he plans to do in elantris. Like he wants to grow crops and also there are children in elantris. his friend, galadon is also unintentionally funny, and i loved reading their part. outside of elantris, princess salene is so fun to read, and her revolving light thing is also so nice, i want one. oh i think it is called seon. she is so witty, and i enjoed reading the parts of her in her uncle's house. the children are so funny and honestly smart. the priest is def going to stir up some political drama. i am so excited to continue reading this book.
