3.5

Book was full of very flawed people, one delusionally obsessed woman, a coward, and several children who are essentially supporting characters. It was an interesting story as far as psycho crime novels go, but it was also too hideous to examine closely and also one of the author’s weaker works. The pace was slower than it should’ve been, and the ending was highly dissatisfactory. It almost felt like she realized she needed to wrap it up and rushed through it after having been overly meticulous for most of the book.
