Ring follows a reporter while he attempts to uncover the truth behind the mysterious deaths of teenagers and a cursed videotape. 

As someone who has seen the American movie version, I thought I knew this story going in. While this book didn’t feel super tense, I felt that the story progression kept things interesting. 

This book did an excellent job at helping readers understand the stakes of the story, which kept the pacing at a good tempo.
