This book was okay read and I did enjoyed it but I didn't love it. I think people who like remembered by Yvonne Battle Felton or these ghosts are family by Maisy Card may like is book. The cover of book was was simple but stunning. The writing was okay also easy follow also the ending was okay. The atmosphere was well done and I think the author did a good job describing the effects of the colonization of Africa and the slave trade. The paced of plot was well structured and steady paced. The characters was okay but they little bit dull and they needed most them well flash out
