I had a hard time with this book.
Ares is oblivious and honestly an MMC I did not like...usually its the fmc I can't stand but it was the opposite in this book. Ares is either just oblivious or dumb. I HATE how he treats Raven throughout this whole book and IMO he never redeems himself and I think Raven could have done so so much better.
My heart broke for Raven in this book. Not only does she end up with a husband who is not it.... she has a narcissistic sister who will not leave them alone ( I know the sister dated the husband prior but still...). At one point when it was given as an option I wanted to badly for Raven to move on with someone else but of course she ends up staying with Ares and I really am not sure why. The things Ares says in front of Raven while they are married to his ex Hannah (her sister) is unfair and he NEVER makes up for these moments at all! I just can't with books like that. How are you going to say in front of your wife that you will never love her etc and yet also the next chapter be all "I love you, I will never leave you I am giving this marriage my all"....it was just all over the place.
Now will I continue the series? Probably because I honestly really loved the other characters in this book.
