definitely targeted towards a younger audience. i had very high expectations going into this book and while i was of course sad at the book’s conclusion, i was nowhere near the “sobbing mess” that i had prepared myself for. an overall enjoyable book with interesting characters but if you frequently read sad stories, you should lower your expectations.
Graphic: Child death, Death, Gun violence, Grief, Car accident, Death of parent, Fire/Fire injury
