Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, Her Therapist, and Our Lives Revealed by Lori Gottlieb

emotional funny informative inspiring reflective slow-paced

5.0

I absolutely loved this book. One of my goals for 2024 is to read one non-fiction book a month. But, to me, this one didn't read as non-fiction, which made it more enjoyable for me. This book had me deeply thinking as I read it and had me contemplating life, my inner dialogue and the choices I have made and face in life.

Despite it being about therapy, which can have series topics, there was humor too, growth among the patients and herself and self-realization. The book focuses on Lori seeing her therapist and learning how to be a patient and how to navigate being a therapist. But it also shared her personal life and the stories of her patients in such an immersive way. I highly recommend this one.
