DNF. Seriously, such a boring book. One of the main drivers in the first 1/3 is an off-screen rape, which I find to be such lazy writing. “How shall I add some tension to this scene and force my character to move forward? I know, the main character’s friend will get raped!” This should not be used as a driving force for plot.
Other then that, the writing style was very dry, just basically laying out events one at a time. If you’re into this world, by all means, continue. I just can’t do it.
