Something Just Like This by Jennifer Probst

5.0

Gah, this novella was awesome.
It was short, yet held a lot of substance. It was the perfect afternoon read and I devoured it within one sitting.

Alyssa Block is Jonathan Lake's assistant and has been in this position for years now, and Ms. Lake has always had a thing for Alyssa, but now that he is running for Governor of State, but he can't risk losing her and running for this position without her. So especially now, he needs to keep his feelings intact and to himself... But it seeming to be a lot harder than it sounds, and when the tension between only thicken, the passion and desire he has for this woman become too much to ignore. But does she feel the same way? If he gives in to his desires will it scare her off or is she longing for him too?

This was a delight and was the first book I've read by this author and it won't be my last. This was a fun, steamy fast read that had me smiling and laughing, sighing and shaking my head while my heart fluttered for these two characters.

It's a must-read!
