A review by midniteillusion
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

This one was lighter than some of the others and we go into it not knowing much about either of the two main characters (Kate and Harrec). While it’s not supper deep it is fun and adventurous.
It reminded me some of Kira and Aehako’s story where they’re in love and choosing one another without the influence of the khui.

My only issue was again we see the authors fatphobia coming through. Kate is described as over 6 feet and built like an athlete/linebacker and how she’s so huge at 180 pounds. Also using the term athlete as derogatory rubbed me the wrong way.
A think a good sensitivity reader might help Miss Dixon move away from this tendency to fat shame her own characters and a few race issues I’ve noticed and other have pointed out in other books along with kink shaming (for all the “dirty” scenes she proclaims to write) and agism.
