No One Is Talking About This by Patricia Lockwood

2.5

This felt like two different novellas smashed together and some of the descriptions were just weird and some were really good. I wish Lockwood had done more to establish the author's relationship with her sister in the first half. I kept questioning how intimate their relationship was in the second half because there wasn't any basis for that established earlier on. I also think that this novel could have benefited from being a bit longer to establish its themes more in depth. There is something that Lockwood is able to capture about how personal calamity and a malaise of bad headlines can intersect in odd ways.
