The first half of this book kinda dragged and was frustrating. Inez has zero character development and actually kind of regresses? Same with Whit. The first half is just 37 miscommunication tropes hiding in their hotel. 

The second half was VERY GOOD! and I'm glad I stuck through it. Not quite as good as the first one but the twists and ending were satisfying.
