Lukas by F.G. Adams

5.0

Please stop and go read Grayson, Keagan, and Oliver. They are volumes 1-3. Even though I feel like they all can be read as standalones but it makes sense to read the first 3 right. I absolutely love how this series focuses on the beautiful Family of the Blackwood’s and the amazing strong men and women who love then unconditionally. The Trident Security men are the perfect Alpha Males.

Lukas is the story of Lukas and Sage. Opening up we see the meeting. The moment they met in a War Zone he felt a connection. He wanted more but so did she, then why did she run. Next we see Lukas with some crazy demons and Sage still trying to keep him at arm's length. It's a cat mouse game they play. But who is the cat and who is the mouse?

I have a special place in my heart and my reread list just for This Is Our Life series. Sage is such a strong woman. She is such a special character. Not only is she smart but her personality makes you want to find a friend like her. The past that the Blackwood family have is a rough one. Not only to see how far they all of come is so amazing. Now Lukas the demons that follow him are from his past but at his lowest Sage was there. That was amazing to read. But dang it the authors throw such a curve ball that you just want to scream at them. The game that Lukas and Sage play is such a push and pull. But both seem to fit for first place. All the twist and turns along with the guessing what would happen next had me on the edge of my seat. I think i went thrpugh every emotion and that was just the first 3 chapters. The character development was perfect from rhe main and secondary characters. I absolutely love how all these book intertwine. Its like watching a tv series in my mind. The season ends when the book does and i have to wait for the next season like the next book. You can tell that F.G. Adams loves what they do. It shows it every book, chapter, page, paragraph, sentence, and word that is written. If you haven't already get this book you won't be sorry.
