Seafire by Natalie C. Parker
4.0
I went into this book expecting a standard revenge story, but it surpassed my expectations!!
Caledonia Styx is the captain of Mors Navis, a ship with an all girl crew. Her family was killed by the pirate Aric Althair and now she sails with the aim of destroying his fleet. Things change when they take one of Aric's crew prisoner and find information about what happened to her family
Seafire is first and foremost about the trust and camaraderie between the girls. Each of Caledonia's command crew is a well fleshed out character, and none are relegated to the background. A refreshing fact is how there is no sudden tonal change in the book at any point. And the ending, it leaves you wanting for more and at the same time satisfies you.
I cannot wait for the next book to release!
