I'm disappointed. I've heard great things about "Emily Wylde's Encyclopedia of Fairies", but it just didn't work for me.

I liked the characters, the plot and the romance, at least at first. The relationship between the two main characters seemed natural... until the proposal. It didn't make sense. First of all, one of them was still sleeping around, while the other couldn't even admit her feelings for him. So, why did he ask her to marry him? And why on earth didn't she say "no" ?!
It all seemed so... contrived.

This book had so much potential as a slow burn. Why couldn't the author have waited until book two (or even book three) for them to be together?
