This is the third in the series and although you can read it without reading the others in the series, it adds to the plot when you do.
This is romantic suspense which is what Catherine Cowles excels at. I enjoyed the way these two characters with a dark past found their way to each other. It wasn't insta love but they did open up to each other quickly. Spicy times were just right.
Basically, it was a romance book doing exactly what a romance book should do.
I enjoyed the cast of characters as usual, and that's the beauty of a series: you get to know all of the characters and guess who the next book about ( which unfortunately are not my two favs, but im pleased nevertheless )
is it formulaic? yes. Is that a bad thing? No. Did I enjoy it and read it in one sitting? YES.
I recommend.
