This story was an interesting trip and I loved the world building and lore that we were treated to as the story moved on. Aina was an interesting character, seeing the way she took her experience and shaped it into something that would help her become the best assassin in the city was admirable. There was some difficulty with her mentor and the almost Stockholm Syndrome that held her captive, but I enjoyed watching her learn and grow. The plot was interesting and the magic system that the author created had me intrigued all the way through. I am looking forward to book two!
