This is for all the fantasy lovers who need  a little break from the fae, Witches, fated/mated/dated stories out there. Here we are thrown into a pre-Columbian story with flawless original world building. I was a bit confused in the first 100 pages trying to make sense of the cults and the sky priests and where everyone fit, but was quickly enthralled in the story. The author does an incredible job seamlessly representing queer, lgbqt+, & non-binry characters. Forgive my ignorance but I learn something new with neo pronouns. It took some effort to sort out xe/xir at first, but again quickly flowed naturally throughout the story. This is an absolute 5⭐️ and I cannot wait for Fevered Star
