The Crow's Call by Wanda E. Brunstetter

This was a simple easy read. In spite of the theme of grief, it felt lighthearted, cozy, and wholesome. However, certain phrases were repetitive, and I felt like the whole family was too hard on Henry. He's a grieving 15 year old boy who does a lot of work around the farm and the family business-- of course he's going to have an attitude! I also felt frustrated with some of Amy's decisions, but she made them out of grief and isolation without realizing it. The book focused more on the characters' thoughts and feelings than on the mystery. Hopefully we find out who is vandalizing the greenhouse in book two! I also hope the family's relationship with Henry improves.
