I think Yanagihara is a great writer and storyteller. However, this book has shown me one of the most, if not the most, insufferable characters I've ever met. An unreliable, narcissistic narrator and an unreliable, infatuated editor made this read so infuriating. I wish nothing but the worst for the two.
