The second book in the Poirot series is for you if you’re looking for a relaxing slow paced old fashioned whodunit. Would probably make a nice beach read. The characters mostly were a bit cardboard - at least the side characters. Just the decorations for Poirot’s deductive style. Also, so many female characters were displayed in a stereotypical fashion, from fainting for 2 days in a row to “beauty and youth” serving as a mitigating factor despite committing murder.
