“i think that a person can do bad things and still be a good person. as long as they were doing the bad things for the right reason.”
i finally finished the whole housemaid series. the third book in the series begins with millie and enzo, and their two children, who move into their dream suburban home, only to find out that the neighborhood harbors dark secrets that threaten to unravel their newfound happiness.
first of all, this is my least favorite out of the three books in the series, but i still had a great time reading this. i don’t know why a lot of people dislike the story, but i really enjoyed it. yes, it was slow-paced, but it still gave me the satisfaction i was looking for in a psychological thriller book. there are lots of things happening from the beginning and i was really looking forward to getting all the answers to millie’s series of questions. i was also pissed off with enzo in the first half of the book. but i was amazed at how he manages to handle every situation.
lastly, freida mcfadden is really the queen of plot twists. i almost forgot how to breathe because of the twist and turns of this book. the revelation at the end was insanely jaw-dropping. this book might not be as intense as the first two books in the series, but it definitely gave me the thrill.
