Read for class. The prose and imagery was definitely pretty and I understand how impactful this book was for the time it came out but I find it difficult for myself to get over some of the lessons. How is McMurphy the face of masculinity and the hero when he is in the ward for wanting to skimp out on the work farm and for rape of a minor? I guess it is a good book for analyzing tho but reinforces why I avoid older books
