A wonderful book full of girl power. But, the realistic kind. there is doubt, uncertainty, misunderstanding, and finally self empowerment.
The mention of an attempted rape by a boy with social power and the cover up by his father with social/community power may be too heavy for some younger teens, and there is mention of consentual under shirt touching.
Could be used as a companion to discussions about consent and the #MeToo movement. Do not forget to encourage your boys to read this, too.
