Have You Seen An Elephant? by Elina Ellis

4.5

I received a copy of Have You Seen an Elephant? by Elina Ellis from Kids Can Press in exchange for an honest review.

In this charming and informative picture book, a young girl is in search of elephants with her journal. She keeps a lot of facts about elephants in there and shares them with the other animals that she finds as she asks them if they've seen the elephants. This serves as a reminder that, though readers may be able to spot the elephants on the pages, the young girl has trouble as elephants are endangered animals that are disappearing from the wild. Readers will learn a lot about elephants even as they may find it amusing that the young girl keeps missing the elephants. She even decides to change her search to tigers - and the first animal that she ends up asking about tigers is, amusingly, an elephant.

Personally, I adore elephants and they are one of my favourite animals. This picture book with its charming illustrations, storytelling, and facts was one that I truly enjoyed. It is the first in the picture book series that will focus on endangered animals and I look forward to continue reading them.
