Her Last Move is a twisty and action-packed read. It isn’t my favorite novel by Marrs. However, I love how it differs from the author's other thrillers. Fans of crime fiction and police procedure would enjoy this novel!
Marrs has a talent for weaving shockingly unique storylines and disturbing complex characters. This talent may not shine as much as it did in A Good Samaritan or What Lies Between Us, but it’s still there!
I enjoyed the characters. Their backstories were deep and mildly sad. I don’t mind tough topics in thrillers, but it’s something to note if you do. Some of the triggers in this novel are the death of a child, domestic violence, and suicide.
I’m a big fan of John Marrs. Therefore, I’ll always recommend his novels. Although this book wasn’t a great read for me, I would still recommend it. If you like serial killers, I would give this novel a read!
