I lost count of just how many times this book made me feel dizzy with discomfort and disgust. Pushing the question of what would it take for you to trade in your humanity for convenience or comfort is a great base for a story and Bazterrica does an excellent job at laying out the conditions. However I felt like the ending could've felt more impactful if it hadn't felt so rushed - and for me that's why this book falls just short of 4 stars.
