In the running for my best book read this year.
We follow a handful of characters through dealing with transphobia, violen concerts, deals with a demon, being a refuge, and what it takes to make a perfect donut. It's a mix of fantasy and sci-fi, but mostly reads as a cozy contemporary novel. While it mostly brushes over topics and does not dive too deeply into its themes, it opens the reader up to those discussions. Definitely worth the read
