This novel feels deeply eerie from the moment it begins. I loved sinking into the intricate female relationships. The ending felt like both a puzzle and a bomb where I had to read extra carefully and had to truthfully consider that "memory is a faulty thing," as Etsuko says herself. Chilling
Moderate: Suicide, Animal cruelty, and Animal death
