Little Demon in the Details

⭐︎4.5 Stars Rounded Up!⭐︎
Sorry this took me so long to finish, I got so distracted by getting a new ship and reading all this fanfic of them.
So I gave .5 stars off for this because at times it got a little slow and near the end it dragged a tiny bit. I felt this could have been a tad shorter? The plot was dragged out a little too long, imo.
But otherwise, I loved this. Blake is part of an assassin family, and he's just been away for 5 years to train. When he comes back, he meets Mercer, who is part of a very wealthy family that has a relationship was the Carter assassin family.
Mercer has been ignored basically his whole life, and sent to a "facility" several times over the years, ever sine he was about 10.
It's left him with some anxiety and coping mechanisms such as wanting to submit but also wanting to fight for that submission. He's kinda dominant and submissive at the same time.
Blake sees Mercer for more than what others see him as, and he such a good people reader, especially when it comes to Mercer, that he sees past Mercer's walls and bratty exterior. He sees there's more to him than that, and Mercer tries to fight it, but can't for long. Because Blake is the first person to see him and not what he pretends to be.
I loved the development of their relationship and how totally whipped Blake became for Mercer. And once Mercer started to gain self-worth, oh how he loved having the sexy assassin wrapped around his little finger.
There was some co-dependency there too, which was oh so delicious. Blake is better at being apart from Mercer than the other way around, but even he misses Mercer greatly. (Near the end when Blake can't stand not fuck Mercer and he just *has* have him right then and there? Oh so deliciously hot)
Their chemistry was so good. This author is so so good at writing the chemistry between her main couple.
Also, the sex was always on point. Every sex scene was so sexy and hot and I couldn't get enough fo these two together.
Mercer needed someone to see him and love him for hm, and he got that in Blake and it is so wonderful to see Blake become increasingly more obsessed with his little demon.
Definitely, highly recommend. Can't wait for the next book from this wonderful author. Consider me a fan
