The book was well-written with beautiful phrasing, but the slow storyline and constant trauma experienced by the main character made it challenging to continue reading at times. While it picks up towards the end, it may not meet expectations for those seeking an epic fantasy. Overall, I enjoyed it but it didn't leave me eagerly anticipating the sequel.
