The Fastest Way To Fall
by Denise Williams
This was a #blinddatebook that my husband picked out. He noted what captured his attention was the very minimal notable points of body positivity.
Obviously when he initially told me before I unwrapped the book, I was slightly annoyed. However, he noted that he picked it bc he knows my own struggles and just wanted me to feel included in this romance book world. . . Once opened he said it looked like us on the cover too.
I let this book sit for two weeks on my TBR shelf. I wasn’t ready to face any bit of body positivity that this book was going to offer.
Last night I opted in to hold a physical book in my hands vs my kindle and I will say in my own personal record time, finished the book in a day.
I’m not normally a crier but this book brought feelings that I spent too many years eating to resolve to the forefront of my brain. It wasn’t a tough read but it reminded me a lot of the issues that I still have with myself. It just reminded that even tho years ago I found my Wes, us curvy girls are deserving of love from others but mainly love from ourselves.
Thx Denise Williams for reminding me of that.
Love yourself, ladies. <3
