Limberlost by Robbie Arnott

5.0

A quiet novel about the life of Ned West, on how his choices ultimately influence the path of his life.

This book has a timeless quality, apart from a few linking placeholders, this story could almost happen at anytime. This narrative is simpler than most but the pace of the novel can’t be described as slow by any means. Although this novel focuses on the more mundane aspects of people’s lives and that’s where the beauty lies. The writing is excellent, Robert Arnott weaves in and out of Ned’s timeline with expertise. I haven’t read anything by Arnott before but now I have another Australian author to follow.
