I thought this was creative, but ultimately I feel like one of the main characters was romanticized for major abandonment. I know we all lose people, but the sheer lack of attentiveness toward a friend in need, then literally replacing that friend just felt like not my favorite way to take the story. The main character experiences no real consequences for their actions and then continues to push past their own grief and I just didn’t care for that.
