Ophelia's Vampire
by Leigh Miller
I just finished reading Ophelia’s Vampire by Leigh Miller and once again, I find myself saying "this one is my favorite". Leigh Miller is definitely one of my go-to authors. I started with Demon’s Bride, and now I'm five books in with Ophelia’s Vampire.
Leigh has a way of crafting the most perfect paranormal romances.
There are so many of my favorite tropes in Ophelia’s Vampire:
- Bickering as foreplay
- Aphrodisiac bites
- Touch her/him and die vibes
- Biting/blood exchange
- Second chances
- A female main character in her 30s (yes please)
- A centuries-old vampire who is willing to get on his knees for her
- A little bit of fake dating for spy reasons
Ophelia and Cas had a misunderstanding 7 years ago, and now they have to work together to solve a case for the Monster Relations Bureau. Ophelia wants to work the case alone, and Cas respects her wishes until Ophelia attracts the attention of one of the vampire covens. Now, Cas is determined to do anything to ensure her safety and well-being.
