Mastering the Art of French Murder by Colleen Cambridge

4.0

Colleen Cambridge is a new author for me, but I’m happy to say I’ll be reading her other novels. Mastering the Art of French Murder was an incredibly fun read! I’m not sure what I enjoyed more: the mystery, the description of post-war Paris, or the delicious foods I could picture Julia Child creating. Cambridge did a beautiful job of bringing Julia Child to life in this book. I found myself reading her words in Child’s distinctive voice. But even with the highly enjoyable Mrs. Child, Tabitha Knight still manages to shine as the lovable French/American Rosie-the-Riveter amateur detective main character. I can only hope the romance that is hinted at in this book continues in book 2. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
