I really enjoyed Spoiler Alert so was excited to read this second installment! I really struggled with the book and with writing the review. However, it may just be a case of a “not for me”!

I enjoyed the progression of the romance between Alex and Lauren. And the banter was funny. I loved how they were able to get to know each other and form a friendship that progressed into a relationship. I also loved the connection they built and I felt Lauren made Alex feel heard and understood for the first time in a while.

The main issue I had was the insults to Lauren’s appearance and at times intelligence. I think it just caught me off guard because I wasn’t expecting those types of insults; especially at their age. I didn’t feel like there was as much of an arc for the characters as I would have wished for. I still enjoyed Olivia’s writing and will most likely pick you her next one!
