On the surface level, this is and novel about a quirky town of elites and their messy lives. But this book has some interesting things to say about trauma and the way it can be unknowingly shape by privilege. trauma has compounding interest, and the debt approves invisibly overtime. There are also some cultural exploration involving the social contract and the duty of certain relationships. Each character was complex and even the supporting cast is given fully developed personalities. Greta‘s voyeuristic life Is the perfect main character in lens to observe the complexity of love sex and relationships through.
