Sons and Lovers
by D. H. Lawrence
Brilliantly submerging itself into the deepest desires and fleeting emotions of its characters, Sons and Lovers is a heartfelt illustration of Lawrence's relationship with his mother. It's honest, naturalistic, dismal and fatally zealous. There are a few speckles of blandly written tedium here and there, but they do little to dampen the impassioned fire Lawrence kindles.
