The Comeback by Lily Chu
4.0

Lily Chu is a must-read author for me now. I wouldn't say this one had my favorite trope, but Ari and Jihoon were great characters. While primarily a romance, the book also explored real family and career issues, similarly to The Stand-In, and I feel like that gave it a greater depth of emotion and added to its relatability. The conflict felt cyclical, and there were some behind-the-scenes moments that I would have liked to see hashed out on the page, namely her conversation with her boss. Overall, though, I loved it, and I will definitely be checking out the book's K-pop playlist made by the author on Spotify.
