Fool Me Once by Harlan Coben
4.0

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The story moves at a quick pace and held my interest. Maya was a character that somewhat confounded me. I could never really tell if I should like her or not. She is quite an enigma but I can't question her devotion to what she sees as the right thing to do. I absolutely loved the ending which surprised the heck out of me, I truly did not see it coming.
Maya suffers from PTSD and this quote really made me think about how I treat people I know that are suffering from mental illnesses.
"Doctors kept stressing that mental illness was the same as physical disease. Telling someone who was clinically depressed, for example, to shake it off and get out of the house was tantamount to telling a man with two broken legs to sprint across the room. That was all well and good in theory, but in practice, the stigma continued. "
