I really wanted to love this story but I think I struggled with the pacing and lack of character development. It had elements I liked such as dragons and the beauty and the beast vibes but I'm not sure they were used in the best way for me. I think maybe because it was a shorter book compared to the others, I felt that the story suffered because it didn't get enough time for readers to fall in love with the characters or story. I felt indifferent and slightly bored while reading in comparison to the previous books. I'm curious as to how the author will tie this story with the other books.
