29 Seconds by T.M. Logan
Did not finish book.
After 25 chapters, this book made it to my unfinished pile. I could not take the main character and knew she was written by a man before I had looked up T.M. Logan himself.
Women worry about their children and their job and yes many have a hard time speaking up, there are no admirable qualities to our MC. I also wouldn't give her a promotion. She isn't a leader, isn't knowledgeable and the pathetic way she keeps clinging onto the idea of her shit husband pissed me off.
It was frustrating, and I spent the majority of the book waiting for her to get a grip.
