Listen, there are soooooo many Brando Sando books, as most people know, and it’s been a long gap between readings. I finished The Bands Of Mourning in 2016, started The Lost Metal when it came out in 2022 but life got in the way. So the fact that I have not only finished Rhythm of War AND The Lost Metal is blowing my mind.
I first read Mistborn in 2013 and haven’t shut up about them since. I haven’t shut up about the Cosmere and that eventually the books would all start to link. There have been slight mentions of characters and things, but THIS and NOW is where shit is going down. And I am so fucking happppyyyyyyyyyyy.
I feel like a 3.5/5 star undervalues my enjoyment of the book, but I have such a love for them and a high bar, they almost constantly blow my mind. But this one was more mind blowing Cosmere-wise than plot wise, hence the lower than average Brando Sando rating.
The fact that convergence is finally happening, the fact that they fucking mentioned Shadesmar in a Mistborn book has blagged my mind, and I still have Winds of Truth to read? I’m gagged.
